I think they are one of the best looking wheels out there.  They are obviously strong.  I am hard on equipment and I haven't been able to break one yet.  The customer services from the race representative Greg Mulkey is second to none.

SCORE Baja 1000 - DNF

In 2010, I was the first ever rock crawler to compete in Pikes Peak, and I won my class.  I also won the Germany XRRA in an Ultra4 car.  Won the Colorado Hill Climb Association Championship for the second year in a row.  I finished 5th in the nation in XRRA in the United States.  The Tubeshark Torchmate Ultra4 rig completed many other events with outstanding finishes.  The 2010 King of the Hammers and Baja 1000 had dissapointing finishes but were great events to remember.

JT Taylor is the first ever Rock Racer allowed to compete in the world renowned Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.  JT Taylor competed in the Exhibition class and took first place with a time of 14 minutes 7 seconds, and a top speed of 86mph.  "I am so excited to be a part of this race, and then to have the fastest time in the class is awesome.  If I could send in my entry fee for next year today, I would!" smiled JT Taylor.

The biggest challenge was the transitions from asphalt to dirt. "It was hard because on the asphalt you’re sticking and then as soon as you hit the dirt you are sliding," commented JT Taylor.  "This race was an absolute blast.  The only thing that I can equate it to is crossing the finish line in Baja, it isn’t nearly as long, but it has its own set of obstacles."

JT Taylor would like to specifically thank the organizers of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb for allowing the Tube Shark/Torchmate Rock Racer to compete and accomplish another life-long goal.

As the 2011 Torchmate Race Teams General manager, we are building new cars to be even more competitive in 2011. Looking forward to running Pikes Peak in the new car along with the entire Ultra4 series.   I am planning on taking out revenge on the Baja peninsula that cut our trip short in 2010.
